To consider an Executive Session for an update from the City Attorney and Attorneys Craig Davidson and John Sharp regarding the Matter of “City of Alexandria vs. Cleco Corporation, et al” and regarding the matter of “Armested Franklin, et al vs. City of Alexandria”.

F. CONSENT CALENDAR

1) Approval of minutes taken from meeting held 6/19.

2) Introduction of an ordinance for pipe, tubing & PVC fittings for a six month period. Bids to be opened 7/3.

3) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acquisition of a temporary construction servitude located in Lot 144 of Good Earth Subdivision.

4) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of a donation of a utility servitude located on property southwest of Interstate 49 purchased by Charles D. Olson and Glenda Olson from Robert E. Stewart Enterprises described as Tract 11.

5) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of a 15’ wide drainage servitude on property, owned by Robert B. Tudor, Jr., et al, located on Centre Court.

6) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing discharge of sanitary sewer from Grundy Cooper Subdivision to the City sanitary sewer system.

7) Introduction of an ordinance adding Section 29.9-1 (5) of the Alexandria City Code Storm Water ordinance in order to provide for uniform fee application.

8) Introduction of an ordinance to set and levy the Millage rates for 2007.

9) RESOLUTION accepting the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire for audit year ending April 30, 2007, including the Fire department.

10) RESOLUTION authorizing the City to state their intention to review the City’s Recycling Program.

11) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for clamps & couplings for a six month period.

12) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for Highway 28 West lift station B at Vandenburg Drive.

13) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for Hynson Bayou drainage improvements, Part B – Poplar Street outfall.

G. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION
SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING
14) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for liquid chlorine for use by the Water and Wastewater departments.

15) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for annual contract requirements for water and wastewater system.

16) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for janitorial chemicals for a six month period.

17) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for striping of public streets and other public properties.

18) To consider final adoption of an ordinance declaring certain substation equipment as surplus property and no longer needed by the Electric Distribution department.

19) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the purchase of Jefferson Parish Preventive Maintenance contract for Motorola Equipment.

20) To consider final adoption of an ordinance declaring K-9 police dog named “Rex” as surplus property and not needed for any public purpose and authorizing deposit of said property to its current handler, in lieu of surplus sale or euthanization.

21) To consider final adoption of an ordinance for authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Cenla Pride, Inc. d/b/a Keep Cenla Beautiful herein represented by Betty Jones as its duly authorized officer.

22) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to exercise the City’s option to renew the existing contract with Yankee Clipper for Compton Park Landscape Maintenance Service for a period of twelve months.

23) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to exercise the City’s option to renew the existing contract with Green’s Park Service for Landscape Maintenance Services for Rapides Trail for a period of twelve months.

24) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of the dedication of a 15’ wide utility servitude located in a 1,599 acre tract of land owned by Paul Maxwell on Broadway Avenue.

25) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Quitclaim Deed for a lot or parcel of ground located in Section 32, Township 4 North, Range 2 West located in Calhoun Commercial Park I. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING COMMITTEE 7/3)

26) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending the Professional Service Agreement with Hershel Lonidier for his services as a Right of Way Agent and Planner for City Planning division. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 7/3)

27) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to exercise the City’s option to renew the existing contract with Alpine Lawn & Landscape for Landscape Maintenance services for assorted Public Facilities for a period of twelve months. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 7/3)

28) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of street and drainage improvements for Villa Rachelle Subdivision, Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 7/3)
